Deoxynivalenol or DON (Vomitoxin) Testing

Depending on weather conditions, Fusarium could grow in forages or feeds, especially in barley and spring wheat.  Fusarium head blight produces the mycotoxin, DON (or commonly called vomitoxin).  As a livestock producer, be careful, high DON levels will affect your production and profitability. For grain producers it is important to know your grain quality, so that you can market your crop to the best market.  If your vomitoxin is high you don’t want to sell in a market that will reject your grain and cause problems.  If you are fortunate to produce good quality forages or feeds, you should get paid for it, that is why testing before you sell is so important.

We have packages that include vomitoxin tests and other mycotoxins that are produced by other molds.
